Q: In need of cheap plavix for a friend?
a good friend cannot afford plavix anymore, he is in a real bad position and have no chance to be helped by social security or retirement, what chances he have to write a letter to the company that makes plavix or maybe find a way to get the medicine free of charge or at a very reduced price?
He is in a very very bad economical position now, but he is a very good man, and still young at 67 yrs old, he has always helped people when he could and, but now he needs the help, I wish i was in the position to help him acquire this medicine, but I cannot afford also the $160.00 monthly the plavix costs him.
any ideas or emails or #’s where he could write to get this medicine cheaper or free would help.
thanks for the answers in advance!
A: while we all wait for the new health care plan you can do what we do and buy lower cost generics online from the European site World-Rx.Net, for some of us this is the only reasonable alternative
Q: is there a way to get plavix for the cheap?
just trying to get it at a cheaper price
A: take a look at http://the-med-store.com/?product=plavix for a generic at a very good price.
Q: Is there a cheaper and comparable medicine other than plavix?
A: The Plavix patent was successfully defended in the US about a year ago. Clopidigrel is not available here.
Aggrenox is a comparable drug. It’s expensive. It contains 200mg aspirin and 25 mg dipyridamole in an extended-release capsule, taken twice a day.
Ask your doctor about taking dipyridamole 100mg 4 times a day and any strength aspirin once a day. The anti-platelet effect of aspirin is very long-lasting so once a day is plenty.
You would need to take the dipyridamole 4 times a day as it is not extended-release.
This would, of course, be up to your doctor. He/she may not think it is as good as 1 Plavix a day, but might think it is okay if the alternative is nothing at all.
Bristol Meyers Squibb, the company that makes Plavix, offers a patient assistance program. There are income limits for this.

Q: Does anyone have a alternative to Plavix, the heart medicine?
A couple of years ago there was a cheaper generic on the market, but it was only available for a couple of months.
A: Ignore the rant.
There are reams of data that show that in appropriate patients, Plavix is vastly superior to aspirin. For example, aspirin doesn’t help keep drug eluding stents open.
The generic manufacturer (in the US) was sued by the original manufacturer. A legal generic is close to 3 years away.
Q: Where can i get plavix cheaper in Singapore?
My dad is a heart attack patient. He needs to take his regular dosage of plavix.Right now plavix sold in hospitals are so expensive.Any websites or any place to recommend me?
A: Ever heard of fake medicine? You get that by buying from unkonown sources. Can your dad get in as a subsidized patient?
Q: Is there a generic for Plavix?
It is expensive and I wondered if there was a cheap generic.
A: No, there isn’t a generic form of Plavix (clopidrogel). But you doctor may be able to help you out with some free samples….. if you ask. Most pharmaceutical companies have programs that can get you coupons or reduced prices on the drug. It is VERY important that you don’t stop taking it without letting your doctor know.
Q: I have heart disease?
I have to take several medications. to lower cholesterol. And I should also take plavix. Which I can not afford the Plavix at $175.00 a month. I don’t have a heart doctor, because I moved from one county to another. My wonder is if there is another medication that can be prescribed that may work the same as Plavix that I can get for a cheaper price like my other meds. that I get now at Walmart for $4.00?
A: Heart disease is not due to a deficiency of drugs. Heart disease is caused by processed foods and is a “modern man’s” disease. The first case of cardio myfarction (sudden heart attack) was in 1921 in America. Since that time, it has grown to compete with cancer for the number one killer disease in America and now, thanks to the drug companies clever solution, statin drugs, STROKE is number 3.
Cholesterol is NOT the problem. Inflammation is the problem. Since the blood is made of water, it does not mix with oil, so the body has cholesterol that is an alcohol, not a fat, that attaches to fatty acids to transport the fatty acids to areas of inflammation to repair the body’s tissues. Yes, taking cholesterol lowering drugs does reduce the build up in the arteries, but at a dire cost to the body. Since our brain is mostly made of cholesterol, bile is made of cholesterol, and since the body repairs it’s self using cholesterol, to limit it is to leave the body very vulnerable to things like thin arterial walls making the person very susceptible to STROKE! When the cholesterol levels go up, it is due to an increase in inflammation in the body. 85% of all cholesterol is made in the liver by the body and only 15% is from diet, typically. If your diet becomes deficient in cholesterol, your body simply makes more to compensate and if you eat too much cholesterol, your body makes less to compensate. But, if your levels increase or decrease it is due to more or less inflammation.
Statin drugs are dangerous and do a lot of damage to the body’s normal functions. One very important function of the liver is to produce vitamin Q that nourishes heart tissue. Lipitor and other statins stop this production of this very important vitamin. Since the inflammation is not fixed and only cholesterol production in the liver is reduced from these drugs, the arteries are still infected. This infection reduces the body’s minerals and instead of up regulating the cellular energy of each cell in the body, the minerals are used up by the infection leaving the body to be more susceptible to disease and sickness.
Foods, like Vegetable Oils, that are being recommended by people who have NO clue about nutrition are causing a lot of inflammation in the body. Low fat diets are very destructive because our bodies need fat and are designed for high fat diets. Eating the wrong kinds of fats and oils and low fat is a basic prescription for heart disease! Low salt diets are just as destructive. Eating “Morton Table Salt” is NOT good due to all the chemicals and processing it goes through to make it poisonous to your body. But, to not eat good salt is a very bad idea. Good “Air Dried Sea Salt” is good for you and a necessary nutrient you need every day. This is where the body gets it’s CL- ion to make stomach acid that SANITIZES your stomach and digests your food. The nanobacteria that causes inflammation in your arteries found in cooked foods, is killed by stomach acid. You should be drinking lots of water each day and taking about 1/4 tsp. of air dried sea salt for each quart of water you drink each day.
If you change your diet and get on a program of health, you won’t need those drugs and you will extend your life, instead of shortening your life by taking that garbage. It takes a little work to eat good organic food that you prepare each day, but it doesn’t cost more. I strongly suggest you read the book, “Nourishing Traditions” by Sally Fallon and Mary G. Enig, Ph.D. and gain some very basic understanding of good foods to eat. This book is also a cook book that will help you learn to prepare good foods that will nourish your body. Heart disease is a result of bad diet, not a drug deficiency.
One other area of concern is the teeth. The molars located next to the wisdom teeth have a direct pathway to your heart and arteries around your heart. ANY infection in these teeth can generate many heart problems. If you have amalgam (silver) fillings in these teeth, you have raging infections going on there that the body cannot fight with it’s immune system. If you have root canals in any of those teeth, you have cavitations of the jaw bone (NICO) where infections are raging. Any extractions, especially wisdom teeth, you have NICO under those. These infections deplete your body of it’s minerals, especially calcium, magnesium, etc. If this is the case, you need to have the amalgams removed and the root canals redone correctly by a biological dentist. Typical dentistry in America promotes diseases in a big way. All the way from the materials used to the procedures being used.
good luck to you
Q: What do you think of my Healthcare story?
Let me tell you my own story. I’m a decorated vet with service overseas. My doctor prescribed Plavix for me 8 years ago, I’ve been taking it daily, the financial strain on me is quite large. So, I went to the VA. Their Pakistani-American Doctor told me “You can’t have Plavix from us — we would only give that out to people who have already had a heart attack. In your situation, Plavix would not be on our protocol for you.”
I told them that my doctor has been Board Certified for 25 years, and holds a Master’s in Pharmacology in addition to his MD degree. They said, “It doesn’t matter, your not on our matrix for Plavix, so nothing for you.”
When medcial protocols are created by the Federal government based on their most efficacious care concept, they will always go for the cheapest drugs, and the top of the line drugs will only be available to a tiny tiny number of people who meet very very narrow protocol requirements. It’s called Totalitarian Health Care. Bottom line — you get nothing.
I went to my fraudulent lying dirtbag of a Congressman and asked that an earmark be created directing the VA to provide me with Plavix. He said, “No earmark needed, I know the Chairman of the Committee that oversees the VA, I’ll talk to him and get your Plavix for you.” He said this to my face. Then he didn’t do it.
Bottom line — government is a morass of lies. Totalitarian health care is going to be lethal to a lot of Americans. The libs say that the “Death Panels” are just a scare tactic by Rush Limbaugh and FOX News. I say, they don’t even need panels — all they need is a “most efficacious care protocol” It’s basically a few lines of software coding on a computer chip. That over-rides your doctor’s prescription. It trumps your doctor. What he thinks does not matter if it’s outside the totalitarian health care matrix — sort of like a one-size-fits-all Procrustean bed.
My own little case is mentioned here because I think it is illustrative. It think it shows how things are going to be when the federal government takes over healthcare in USA. Everybody will be treated the way the VA treated me. They don’t need panels, why waste the time using people to decide anything — just use a computer chip — it’s like the banks if you apply for a loan — sorry pal, you fall outside the matrix, no loan for you.
Totalitarian Automated Health Care — coming soon to your doctor’s office. And it will cost you a fortune.

A: umm… have fun with the Obamacare! lol
ask for it again, bug them until they give it to you.
Isn’t it they way it is now in the UK? yeah, the health system is not that great here… they make you wait and they don’t give you drugs unless it’s completely necessary! their answer to almost everything is: “Take a paracetamol and you’ll be fine!” lol
you had to add that “Pakistani- American”, didn’t you….? tsk, tsk, tsk….
